Eilish’s hit single is already nominated for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance at the upcoming Grammy Awards. “Birds of a Feather” snagged the streaming crown by receiving an astounding 1,775,172,881 listens by fans in 2024. Eilish eclipsed Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Espresso” by nearly 650,000 streams, as Carpenter’s song of the summer finished the year with 1,774,525,704 listens on Spotify. Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” ended up as the third most streamed song of 2024, followed by Lady Gaga’s hit collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile.” Eilish’s record label, Interscope, took to X on Wednesday (January 1) to recognize their artist’s momentous achievement by writing, “BIRDS OF A FEATHER by @billieeilish is the most streamed song of 2024 on @Spotify.” (Variety)
